Dressed for Distress

She brought a gun to the knife fight

a dick joke to the bris

a crises to the wedding

laughing fits to the kiss

peyote to the potluck

plastic wrapping at the ballet

an angry rash to the pool party

always stuck in traffic, on the way.

yes, that's her

you know the one —

a tornado in a teacup

dizziness in a dress

from where she sits,

the weather never quits

so, you should be honored

she even bothers to

show up.
